BleggMitts are made of Neoprene which keeps your hands warm wet or dry, but more importantly very effective when wet.  They are snug fitting and allow fingers to warm from the heat of your hands (just like a little warmth cocoon).  They have an overlapped split of fabric down the front which allows you to pull your hand out when doing an obstacle and then retract it inside the mitt again to re-heat the hand while running. This means you can keep your hands warm and get your hands free to adjust packs, vests, get to food etc as and when you need them!
